Academic gene therapy scientist with 27+ years at Weill Cornell Medicine and a foundational track record in AAV-based CNS and rare-disease gene therapy translation, from basic research through pre-IND, GMP manufacturing, IND submission, and Phase I clinical trial execution.
Directed the gene therapy clinical development program for late infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (Batten disease) and has built or supported translational programs across more than a dozen rare and CNS indications.
Co-runs Cornell's Belfer Gene Therapy Core Facility, which has delivered GMP material to academic institutions, foundations, NIH, and biotech clients. Currently sits on the Board of Passage Bio (CNS gene therapy) and the SAB of Form Bio (computational gene therapy R&D).
